What is the thing that makes Farming Simulator such a popular series, with years of community support and a dedicated fan base? One of the main answers to that is mods. FS25, just like the previous games in the series, is full of mods you can download for both PC and consoles. If you want to join this community and give something of your own for players to enjoy, there are plenty of existing and upcoming modding tools that will help you do just that.
The GIANTS Developer Network, commonly known simply as GDN, is a platform where the modders get the help and resources they need to start creating mods. Over there, you will find the latest and updated versions of the GIANTS Editor 9 to download, a dedicated forum for modders to talk and share their findings, full documentation, and more. In order to download the editor and join the forums, you will need to register.
The GDN is also where the latest Giants Editor 10 will be released. It’s expected to arrive later to accompany the FS25 game: but the older versions can still be used to make mods for newer games.
Visit the GDN and begin your modding journey
Every time a new version of Giants Editor comes out, and a new game is available, the modders start working with the new tools: and this means that there are plenty of new features and requirements that have to be considered.
In order to help the modders get a better understanding of what they’re working with, there is an excellent series of tutorials that can get you off the ground. Called Modding Tutorials 5.0, it’s a series of step by step instructions and videos – making this an excellent way to get started. In order to get the best out of these lessons, you will need to get Blender.
Both Blender and the Modding Tutorials 5.0 are completely free of charge, making it an excellent gateway into learning 3D design and modeling. It’s a good path not only to make Farming Simulator 25 mods, but also to become experienced in the 3D modeling as a whole.
As FS25 becomes more available and the next generation of Giants Editor becomes available, we expect Modding Tutorials to get updated as well. But even now, these tutorials will give you the perfect set of modding tools for FS25.
If you are new to the game, and want to learn the basics of the franchise before getting to modding, check out the FS25 tutorials on our site to learn more.
