Hand Tools Will Become Separate Items in FS25
Developers are aiming to add more interactivity to Farming Simulator 25 and have decided to make hand tools (such as the chainsaw and similar items) into separate items.
As we remember, in previous versions, once you bought these items in the store, they would simply appear in the character’s hands. Now, they will be individual items, meaning they can be moved and placed anywhere.
First and foremost, adding this mechanic brings more interactivity and realism. The chainsaw and any other similar hand tool can still be purchased in the store.
But now, you can move them, place them wherever you want, and manage the tools as you please. Just remember where you put them, as they may be hard to find otherwise. However, the developers have thought this part through too—each of your tools will be marked with special indicators on the map. So no worries, losing items shouldn't be an issue.
By the way, we keep mentioning only the chainsaw. But there are others as well, like spray paint cans, horse brushes, and so on.
In fact, you can store them wherever you like. But ideally, it’s best to place them in special sheds or workshops.
You can set up any building as a shed and store all your tools there, so they’re always at hand when you need them.
Interestingly, the game will allow you to secure tools like these on forestry equipment. Some machines will have special mounts for transporting chainsaws.
But this only applies to the handheld saw. Other items don’t need such transport since they are quite easy to carry by hand, in a trailer, or in a vehicle.
The developers haven’t revealed further details on this yet. But we’ll be waiting for more news from the folks at Giants. Most likely, there will be plenty of interesting updates related to mechanics like these. So, stay tuned...
