Farming Simulator 25 is an upcoming simulation game, letting you immerse yourself into an exciting and expansive world of farming: growing crops, livestock, and managing your farm. But will your computer be able to run it?
On this page, we’ll keep the latest updates related to the system requirements of FS25: and give you pointers at what you should expect, so that when the game comes out, your system is up to the task.
Even though the graphical jump from Farming Simulator 19 to Farming Simulator 22 was a pretty large one, the game itself still remained very accessible to most systems.
In order to see the expected minimum FS25 PC requirements, let’s take a look at the earlier version of the game:
What do these requirements mean for you and the future system requirements for Farming Simulator 25? Let’s take a deeper look.
FS22 came out in the summer of 2022. However, you were able to play this game on minimum-to-medium graphics using a mid-range graphics card and processor combo from 2012.
If right now, you have a mid-range gaming machine from 2015, it probably can’t play any recent AAA games: but Farming Simulator 25 should still work relatively well.
To get the best estimation of system requirements for FS25 on Mac, let’s take a look at what the requirements of the older game was.
Similar to the Windows requirements, the minimum Mac system requirements go back a decade. You would be able to play the older game with a machine from 2012.
Expect the same in 2025 – you should be able to play FS25 with a 2015 Macbook Pro. And if your Mac uses the new Apple silicon, it should be an absolute breeze, even on the baseline Air models.
Now, let’s take a look at the recommended requirements for the previous FS game and see what device should be able to run Farming Simulator 25 smoothly, at higher graphics.
General information: These system requirements can’t cover all possible system configurations so issues could occur that avoid or influence the functionality in some case
Farming Simulator worked perfectly on mid-tier hardware released 8 years ago. So, we can expect Farming Simulator 25 to work well on mid-tier hardware from 2017.
And of course, just like the previous games, Farming Simulator 25 will fully allow modding, which has turned into an integral part of the series. This means that you will be able to add a lot of extra functionality to the game. This will include new vehicles, completely different maps, as well as updated buildings or structures. Luckily, they will have a pretty small effect on the performance of the game on your machine, as they are pretty well optimized with the existing game system. We expect to see some great FS25 mods as soon as the game launches!
When will FS25 be released? For now, we expect the game to be released in late 2024. Once the release date gets closer, we will be able to have a better look at the requirements of the game.
Overall, Farming Simulator series has been pretty consistent with its requirements. The game doesn’t include a massive array of complicated 3D graphics and doesn’t need to quickly render large animations. This makes the game very easy to run on older and slower computers. As long as your computer works well with daily tasks, it should also be able to play Farming Simulator on decent graphics and a good frame rate. Even the slightly older laptops with integrated graphics chips should do a good job. And if your computer is no older than a couple of years old, Farming Simulator 25 should work perfectly well on it.
Farming Simulator 25 will be released: on Nov 12th, 2024 on PC, Mac, as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
